For those who want to venture in the territory of Marsala, the Natural Reserve of the Stagnone provides its visitors an exciting landscape, where nature, history and human action come together in perfect harmony. .
Visitors can also reach the small island of Mothia, in front of Marsala, founded by the Phoenicians in the eighth century BC and is just a few minutes by boat and canoeing. In the island lies the famous museum of Whitaker, which consists of thousand of archaeological finds.
A few kilometers away, visitor can see the white mountains of salt, “Saline di Trapani”, whose background is characterized by the striking view of the Egadi Islands. The natural features of this area allow operators to naturally collect salt by the constant action of the sun and wind.
On the west coast of Sicily, in Mazara Del Vallo, visitors can see the “Dancing Satyr”, the famous bronze statue which represents a Greek mythological figure of rare beauty. His discovery was particularly odd: The statue, in fact, was found by a vessel during a fishing trip in the Strait of Messina.
